Coexisting with nature and using the island’s
natural riches is how we develop and select our gifts.
These ballpoint pens are made using the wood of various trees that grow on the island. The types of wood come from introduced species that have been cut down, native trees that have been trimmed, and also wooden materials that had been kept away in old storage spaces owned by native islanders. Each possesses different textures and shades, and serves as an item to remind you of your stay on the islands. Sales of this ballpoint ben will be used for efforts to improve the conditions of the forests in Ogasawara.
The Bishop wood was originally brought to Ogasawara to be used as firewood. Today however, this tall and fast-growing, introduced species is being removed since it affects the growth of other endemic plants. Instead of making the selfish choice of wasting the wood now that they are no longer necessary, we came up with a way to reuse them. Since the wood of this tree is not an ideal building material, we chose to transform them into accessories that can be worn by people. A portion of its sales will be used for future restoration projects in order to protect the natural environment of Ogasawara.
This is a domestic, 100% made in Ogasawara honey, produced in our very own bee farm on the island. After a research conducted in 2019, it was discovered that our original dark-colored honey was in fact a honeydew honey. This type of honey is widely popular and considered to be a high-class product in Europe. On the other hand, it is extremely rare in Japan, and also said to be the first to be domestically produced. It is an exceptional product, made with nectar collected from various plants that grow in the unique natural habitat of Ogasawara. Richly flavored with a fruity sweetness, this is without a doubt one of our more special items. Our rare Island Honey is not always available even on the island, therefore we absolutely recommend it if you happen to find it.

These necklaces and earrings are mainly crafted with the teeth of sperm whales. They depict animals and plants that can be seen in Ogasawara, all of which are originally designed and carefully handcrafted. Occasionally there are items made using the wood of the precious native mulberry.
Works of this craftswoman mainly use island flowers and plants that are made into preserved flowers, then arranged as accessories. Adorable and colorful, these items are also one of our highly popular products.
Island specialties are the perfect souvenir choices! Popular products are the vinegar and soy sauce set, and also the chili oil made with the tiny but exquisitely spicy island chili peppers. Another popular choice is the rich-flavored natural salt, made from the deep-ocean waters of Ogasawara.
